A two-day festival of sound, art, and ideas exploring independent culture and creative autonomy. Day 1 is an unconference to advance civic technology. Day 2 celebrates music, arts, and countercultures.

Yes. Any profit generated will be distributed among local NGOs and arts / music initiatives, as determined by a community (ticket holder) vote. We want Parallel Society’s impact to be felt long after the event is over.

Parallel Society is about co-creating an organic, hands-on experience with a wide range of activities centered around technology

As such, the agenda will be created and led by our coalition members. Zones are co-organised and will evolve over time. Expect regular updates on this website as they are confirmed and public submissions, open call

On top of this, there will be open spaces to hang out, network, eat, and drink.

Day 2 is a celebration of culture. Expect a genre-spanning mashup of live sets, from DJs and bands to theatre and art installations.

There are no designated parking spaces at the venue. Nearest train stations are Marvila or Braco de Prata

Yes. All areas include wheelchair access and accessible facilities. Please contact us in advance if you require additional assistance.

For Day 1 most sessions will be in English or Portuguese, depending on the session host.

Any visitor and/or participant hereby fully releases and discharges the organiser (including its employees and subsidiaries) and its affiliations/association from any rights, claims, damages, losses, liabilities, fines and causes of action whatsoever arising directly or indirectly from the filming, recording and/or photography of this event.

Professional photographic and videographic equipment is not allowed without prior approval. Phone photography is allowed, but please respect people who do not want to be filmed, they will be wearing stickers. We also recommend you enjoy Day 2 without overusing, filming.
